Coach Laura is in her sixth season as Head Coach for the Oakton Otters and her 15th year teaching and coaching swimming overall. In addition to coaching the Otters, Laura is on her sixth year of coaching club swim as a certified USA Swimming swim coach. She has coached the newly formed club Hydra Aquatics this year.
Growing up, Laura swam for York Swim Club, Nations Capital Swim Club, the Oakton High school swim team, and the Oakton Otters. Coach Laura attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where she competed on their swim team until she graduated in 2019. Coach Laura is looking forward to another great season with the Otters!
Coach Jack is a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech where he is majoring in business management and accounting. Jack started his swimming career twelve years ago as an Otter. He has swam for YORK for nine years and was a member of the Oakton HS swim team for four years.
One of Jack’s favorite Otter memories is playing sharks & minnows at the end of season banquets.
Coach Beau is a rising sophomore at University of Virginia where he is majoring in economics with a minor in Spanish. He was a member of the Oakton High School swim team for 4 years and served as the team captain his senior year. Beau has been an Otter since the age of five.
Beau's favorite Otter tradition is field day!
Coach Colin is a rising sophomore at Providence College where he is studying finance and accounting. He is a member of the men's swim team at Providence College and competes in the Big East Conference. Colin was a member of the Oakton High School swim team for 4 years and was a state meet qualifier for 3 years. He swam for YORK for four years. Colin joined Otters seven years ago.
Colin's is favorite Otter tradition is performing skits before home meets.
Coach James is a rising senior at Oakton High School. He was been a member of the Oakton High School swim team for the past 3 years and has swam for YORK for the past ten years. He joined Otters nine years ago.
James' favorite Otter traditions are playing water polo and senior breakfasts.
Caleb is a rising sophomore at Oakton High School where he is a member of the dive team. Caleb has been an Otter for nine years!
Caleb loves playing water polo and being in skits. He is excited to join the coaching team for the Otters this summer.
Anna is a rising sophomore at Oakton High School. She is a member of the OHS swim team and swims for NCAP. She has been an Otter for 8 years.
Anna's favorite Otter tradition is the banquet and end of season pool party / slide show.
Megan is a rising sophomore at Oakton High School. She was a member of the OHS swim team this year and also plays field hockey and lacrosse. She has been an Otter for seven years.
