Hi Otter Families!

We had an exciting meet on Saturday against Hiddenbrook and the Otters came out victorious with a score of 236-184!  Otter spirit was high and the times were fast!  We also honored our 11 seniors and enjoyed a great celebratory luncheon. Here's a look at what is happening this week: 

Declaration of A Meet Availability: IMPORTANT - if there is a 1% chance that your swimmer will be available to swim in an A Meet, please go ahead and mark your swimmer as available (other sporting events or vacations sometimes get rescheduled at the last minute). We are matched up against a very tough Cardinal Hill team this weekend and we will need everyone available in order to build the strongest meet sheet possible. It is much easier to scratch your swimmer at the last minute than it is to add them in. If swimmer availability changes after you have marked it for a given A Meet, please reach out immediately to the meet reps via email at [email protected]. 4th of July Relay Carnival: Just a reminder that we will NOT be participating in this event.

Undercover Otters:  Secret Pal spirit week will be held July 8th - July 12th.  If your swimmer would like to participate, then please fill out the Otter questionnaire located HERE and email it to Brandi Antal at [email protected] by Thursday, July 4th.  Hard copies can be found on top of the filing cabinet in the pool lobby and can be placed in the Antal family folder (electronic submissions preferred).  ***Please only participate if you are available and willing to partake in the assigned activity each day.  

Afternoon Swim Practice Schedule (Tuesday & Thursday):  Afternoon practices will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays for those swimmers who cannot make it to the morning practice or for those swimmers who want to have extra practice time in the water.

11 & Older: 5pm-6pm

10 & U: 6pm-6:45pm (Sorry this practice is not for pups)

Monday Event

B- Meet at Pleasant Valley: The second B-Meet of the season will be held @ Pleasant Valley. Specific details will be provided from B Reps in a separate email.

Tuesday Event

Please plan on your swimmers staying about 20 minutes late after practice each Tuesday (this does not apply to Pups). There will be breakfast treats for the swimmers followed by the bag tag and ribbon distributions from the previous A & B Meets. If your swimmer is unable to attend, then please be sure to check your family folder for the bag tags/ribbons.

Team event - Movie at OSRC: Join us in the social room at 1:00pm to watch a movie on the new big screen TV! More details will be forthcoming. 

Pep Rally and Dinner: The Pep Rally theme this week is USA and will start at 5:00pm on Friday. Swimmers are encouraged to dress in a creative costume that aligns with the theme. Swimmer of the Week and Best Costume awards will be handed out as well. Dinner will be provided for all swimmers (sorry we won't have enough for the parents!) and FUN FOR ALL so you don’t want to miss it! 

Saturday A Meet 

A Meet vs. Cardinal Hill @ OSRC: Our third A meet will be against Cardinal Hill at OSRC. Once the coaches have completed the A meet sheet/swimmer stroke selection, communication will go out to all families of selected swimmers no later than Wednesday. 

Team Lunch @ OSRC: We're having an Otter Pizza Party after the A meet vs. Cardinal Hill. The cost will be $5 a person and we will have various styles of pizza, salads, and dessert! We need an accurate headcount so we know how much pizza to order, so please click HERE to RSVP by Friday, July 5th at 9:00 am. You can Venmo the money to @HeatherSmithLim or pay at the door.
