Thanks Otters!

Otter families,

Division 4 Relay Carnival was last night at Vienna Aquatics Club. Led by our amazing coaching staff, our Otter relay teams cruised their way to a fifth relay carnival win in a row! #5peat! It was an amazing night and everyone had lots of fun!

The highlight for us was something greater than the trophy - it was seeing the sportsmanship among our swimmers from ages 6 to 18! They were cheering each other on, fist bumping, hugging, and high fiving one another. Looking at their faces when they finished a relay was heartwarming. THAT is what summer swim is all about - it’s more than awards. It’s the friendships that bring us all together year after year.

Relay carnival generally marks the halfway point through our summer swim season. We have two more weeks of meets before Divisionals on July 24th. We thought now would be a great time to thank our coaches, swimmers, and parent volunteers. Without all of you, this season would never happen.

Thanks to our hard working coaches who always give words of encouragement when needed to push our swimmers to greater heights in the pool. Thanks to our swimmers for their dedication, friendship, and sportsmanship. Thanks to our parents who volunteer countless hours on and off the pool deck and who make several trips a day to and from the pool. We see you in your blue and white, and we salute you! After a missed 2020 NVSL season, it feels great to be back together supporting our swimmers!

We want to leave you with a video of what we think the sport of summer swim is all about - swimmers coming together to support each other while doing something they love. Click HERE to see all of the D4 15-18 boys in clerk of course before their races. What an inspiration!

See you at OSRC!
