It was an exciting week for the Otters! Monday night saw lots of new best times and a full, delay-free B meet at Poplar Tree despite a dismal weather forecast. On Wednesday, the Otters once again dominated the Divisional Relay Carnival, with 14 relays advancing to All Star Relays later this month. Congratulations to our coaches and swimmers on taking home this 1st place trophy for the SEVENTH year in a row! View the full results here. On Saturday, the Otters continued our undefeated season with a big win at Hiddenbrook. Go Otters!

TUESDAY, JULY 4

As a reminder, there will be no practices on July 4. We hope you have a wonderful holiday!

UNDERCOVER OTTERS

Undercover Otters will take place July 10-14. This is always a fun and creative week for the swimmers and coaches as they anonymously leave small gifts for their secret Otter pals throughout the week and reveal their identities on the last day. Please complete this form TODAY if your swimmer plans to participate. Please see the email sent June 29 for additional details.

MOVIE DAY

Please RSVP for Movie Day on Thursday at University Mall Theatres in Fairfax. There will be two options to choose from:

• Spiderman (PG) @ 1:00 PM
• Indiana Jones (PG-13) @ 1:15 PM

Parents will be responsible for purchasing tickets directly from the theater (either upon arrival or online in advance). Please send your child with additional $ if they wish to purchase concessions.

For our younger Otters, although coaches will be present in both theaters, please plan on attending the movie with your child(ren). Our coaches will not be able to leave the theater during the movie.

Please RSVP by Wednesday at noon so that the coaches can assign themselves to the theaters based on attendance.

SENIOR BREAKFAST - FRIDAY, JULY 7

All 13+ swimmers are encouraged to attend breakfast at Silver Diner immediately following Friday’s practice.

PEP RALLY - FRIDAY, JULY 7

Join us for our Friday Night Pep Rally! The theme is "Goin’ Bananas" (think banana costumes). The Otters of the Week will be announced, and prizes will be given to the most spirited costumes! The spirit will start at 5:30pm, a pasta dinner will be served at 6pm, and everything will wrap up by 7pm. Feel free to drop off your swimmer(s) or use this time to gather with friends and neighbors for happy hour! Swim team members swimming in the Saturday meet are not permitted in the pool during this time.

A-MEET @ LITTLE HUNTING PARK - SATURDAY, JULY 8

The team will head to Little Hunting Park on Saturday for our fourth dual meet of the season. Please declare your availability by NOON today. Selected swimmers will be notified by noon Wednesday.

SENIOR GROUP LOCK-IN

The Senior Group lock-in is this coming weekend.  Please be on the lookout for details in the day ahead.

B MEET @ OSRC - MONDAY, JULY 10

The Otters will host Sully Station on Monday, 7/10. Remember, all B meet entries must be submitted in SwimTopia no later than 6pm on the Saturday prior to the B meet (there are no exceptions). Please read the entry restrictions before signing up.
