Sign-ups are now open for the B-Meet on Monday, July 11th at the Herndon Hammerheads Pool, located at 1114 Monroe Street in Herndon near the intersection of Monroe Street and Herndon Parkway.

This pool has a reputation for having very, very good food. So, come with your appetites and cash! They also run a 50/50 raffle with a drawing near the end of the meet. Tickets are $5 each and it has apparently been paying out well, even at the Saturday meets.

Although the lot at the pool is reserved for our swimmers, parking is still very limited because it is a small pool. Please carpool if at all possible. The email has an image from Google Earth which shows the Herndon pool. Arrows indicate the ingress and egress points into the lot. It is difficult to see from the trees but there's parking around the entire perimeter of the lot. You cannot actually park on the end of Monroe St closest to the pool and south of Herndon Parkway. However, two diagonal arrows on Monroe on the north side of Herndon Parkway show a location where there's plenty of available on street parking spots.

4:45 - Clerks arrive.

5:00 - Swimmer & volunteer arrival and check in.

5:00-5:20 - Herndon warm-ups

C. 5:30 - Officials Meeting

5:25-5:45 - Oakton warm-ups

6:00 - Meet Start

Event Selection:

We will be using our standard event selection rules, while Herndon will have similar but slightly expanded selection rules due to their smaller size (we don’t want to be swimming ourselves).

• Please go into SwimTopia and mark whether you are attending or not - your attendance you marked earlier for the A meets does not carry over into the B meets.
• Pup parents do need to mark attendance as well, since a subset of the Pups do swim meets, and it may vary from week to week.

It is a 4th of July celebration at OSRC, with a meet start time of 9 AM so that everyone can enjoy BBQ in the afternoon! The timeline will be as follows:

• Clerks and chief jobs arrive by 7:30
• ALLswimmers check in by 7:45
• All general volunteers check in at 8:00
• Warm-Ups for the OSRC begin at 8:05 am
• Warm-ups for the Fairfax Station begin at 8:25 am
• Meet start at 9 am
