Swimmers and volunteers need to arrive at OSRC by 4:45pm. Warm-ups start promptly at 5pm and the meet will start at 5:45pm. Please click HERE to review the B Meet Entry Selection Rules. Remember - entries close on Saturday at 6pm! Each event will be run mixed gender (boys and girls swimming together). If your swimmer needs to swim an unofficial event due to their participation in the prior A meet, please mark the events labeled with an "X." The events labeled with "A" and "B" are official events. |

Warm-up: 8:25 AM
Swimmers are selected for the A meets based on seed time and the needs of the team. The goal is to maximize the team’s chances of winning the meet by accumulating the most points. Three swimmers will be selected in each of the strokes in each of the age groups for boys and girls. The four strokes are freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Announcements of A Meet selections will be made via email by Wednesday or Thursday each week. This is an away meet - swimmers will meet at OSRC at approx 7:30am and caravan over to the host pool. |

Friday Night Pep Rally & Team Dinner - USA Theme

End: 7:00 PM
Join us for the first pep rally of the season. The theme is USA in honor of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Come in your red white and blue gear or dressed as your favorite Olympian. The Otters of the Week will be announced and awards will be handed out to the most spirited costumes! Parents: Events start at 5:30pm, dinner will be at 6pm, and everything will wrap up by 7pm. Feel free to drop off your swimmer(s)* or use this time to gather with friends and neighbors for happy hour! Swim team members swimming in the Saturday meet are not permitted in the pool during this time. *Parental discretion to be used for dropping off 8U swimmers. |

Picture Day & Pancake Breakfast

There will be no practice on picture day. Instead, swimmers will come to the pool for the annual team and individual pictures and then enjoy a fabulous pancake breakfast! |

Social Activity: Movie Day - The Garfield Movie
University Mall Theatre (Fairfax)

The team will watch a 12:30 PM showing of The Garfield Movie. We will have our own reserved theater. Participation will include popcorn and a drink for all attendees. Please send your child with additional $ if they wish to purchase additional concessions. Please plan to arrive by 12:15pm so everyone has the chance to get their popcorn, drink, and find their seats. 8 and under parents should plan to stay with our younger Otters OR 8 and unders should have a designated friend/parent that will be their chaperone. Parents will need to pay $10 cash at the door or Venmo @elizabethwolfdc. Please note our coaches will not be able to leave the theater during the movie. |

Time Trials

Warm-up: 8:00 AM
Time Trials are held one week prior to the first meet to obtain a baseline time for each swimmer in each stroke. These times are used to help in the selection of swimmers for the first A meet. Time Trials also provides an opportunity for a trial run of our meet procedures for officials, meet administration, and meet preparation. Unless otherwise notified, swimmers will swim all FOUR events at this meet. We strongly encourage ALL swimmers to attend Time Trials. |

End of Season Awards Ceremony and Pool Party

Join us for an end of season Awards Ceremony honoring our Otters followed by a pool party! The Awards Ceremony will take place in the Waples Mill Elementary School cafeteria, immediately followed by a pool party at OSRC. Please RSVP so we know who will be there as we plan to expedite the awards ceremony by only recognizing those swimmers who are present. |
